This page sets out how SaGeminieTech checks facts, which sources it relies on, how errors are corrected and noted, and how readers can report a mistake.
1. Sourcing standards
- Primary sources come first: SEC filings, company annual and quarterly reports, earnings releases, investor-relations materials and exchange data.
- Every financial figure names its source, the period it covers and its units and currency. Calculated figures are labelled as calculations and show their inputs.
- Third-party figures, such as screening providers’ statuses, analyst estimates or vendor claims, are attributed to the party that published them, with a link and the date they were read or the date they refer to.
- Figures from different periods or valuation dates are not combined without saying so on the page.
- Forecasts and forward-looking statements are attributed to whoever made them and are not presented as established outcomes.
2. Fact-checking before publication
- Financial figures are checked against the filing they cite, and calculations are recomputed from the inputs shown on the page.
- People’s titles and business-segment names are checked against the company’s latest filing or official announcement.
- Events described as announced, pending or completed are checked against the latest official statement or filing.
- Third-party screening figures are compared with the company’s filing, and any mismatch is stated on the page, as described in the methodology.
- No figure, source or date is ever estimated or invented to fill a gap. If an input is not disclosed, the page says so.
- Pages are checked for unfinished placeholders and formatting errors before they are published.
3. How errors are corrected
When an error is confirmed, the page is corrected as soon as practical. The correction is made everywhere the figure or statement appears on that page, including tables, summaries, FAQs and conclusions, so the page stays consistent.
- Corrections of substance, such as a wrong figure, ratio, date, name or conclusion, are noted on the page with the date and a short description of what changed.
- Updates, such as recalculating ratios from a newer filing or a new closing price, are noted on the page with the date and the filing used.
- Minor fixes, such as spelling, formatting or broken links that do not change the meaning, may be made without a note.
Corrections are also recorded in SaGeminieTech’s internal correction log with the page, the original text, the corrected text, the source and the date.
4. How to report an error
If you believe something on SaGeminieTech is wrong, please use the form on our Contact page. To help us check it quickly, include in your message:
- the exact page URL;
- the sentence, figure or table you believe is wrong;
- what you believe is correct, and the source for it where possible, such as a filing or an official announcement.
Every report is reviewed against the original sources. If the page is wrong, it is corrected and noted as described above.
